Brazilian Culture in the Bronx

The Tropicália: A Revolution in Brazilian Culture exhibit explores all aspects—art, film, architecture, poetry, theater, fashion, and music—of a movement that began in the late 60s and is still influencing artists today. The atypical presentation of various media together showcases the interconnected influences that shaped this counterculture, which managed to thrive despite an environment of military dictatorship. The exhibit runs through January 2007 at the reopened (and apparently "architecturally stunning") Bronx Museum. [via the Village Voice]
