Travel shop Flight001 sells a cool hypotrochoid art set that is like a sleek adult mini-version of the old Spirograph toy (which is still made, in a somewhat diminished version, by good ole Hasbro). I used to love Spirograph—online versions just aren't the same...

That's the same kit that I spotted in an art shop in London a few months ago and mused about on my blog - I have such great memories of playing with Spirograph as a kid.
I've got some major long-haul flights coming up in the next few months - I wonder if anyone would look at me oddly if I got out the hypotrochoid art set...or maybe the mini Etch-a-Sketch which also looks very tempting ;)
