Steven Heller Online

Steven Heller has a great new website. But it has to be said... the new reality is that even major talented rock star designers (or elite design sites, ahem, Design Observer) need to have decent code behind their lovely site designs if they want to be taken seriously by the web design community. [via Veer, where the commenters attack his code immediately]

(we are the future, print people, you must accept it)

You what? What a load of divisive bollocks. You're right about the decent code bit, but did you really have to wheel out this tired old cliché?

Tut. I expected better of this blog.

Actually, Brad, you're right. While I do think that print designers are behaving rather foolishly when it comes to accepting the web and adapting to a future that will be inevitably more digital, I do aim to keep things neutral here, and that was not a neutral comment. So I've removed it from the post. Tut noted.
Cheers, Kate
