Animation Review Uproar

Oh, Mick LaSalle... The well-known film critic for the San Francisco Chronicle has the artistic community in an uproar over his review of the new animated film Monster House. Boing Boing has the whole story. It's nice to see animators defending their craft. The whole thing also emphasizes how important it is for artists to be respectful (and hopefully somewhat aware of the basic history) of other genres. LaSalle clearly needs to do some research—I'd start him off with a good combo dosage of Miyazaki and Pixar.
